FONDANT ANIMALS FOR BABY SHOWER CAKE
I’m almost done with these guys. What do you think? I’m really hoping for suggestions and comments from all you beautiful people who are experts and who can tell me how to repair and handle these during transportation. My intention is to assemble the cake at the party hall but I’m kinda dreading the ride in the car for these guys. Hard work, but lotta fun! Again sorry about the quality of the video, I’ll get the hang of this!

“Hello Kitty” Baby Shower Fondant Cake!
Simple little Hello Kitty cake made with pre-colored fondant. No airbrushing this time since I didn’t have time to wait for paint to dry! 
Hello Kitty was made out of gumpaste. Hope you all like it! 
Cool idea for a fondant baby shower cake
I like to make things, and this turned out to be my first opportunity to make a fondant cake. Maybe next time, I’ll be able to make a cake that is a little more masculine, like a football or an acetylene torch. Anyway, if you like the idea, feel free to copy it and maybe to post a video response so I can see your interpretation. A few things that I learned from this experience: 1. There is a great recipe for marshmallow fondant at www.designmeacake.com . 2. If you wet the tip of your pen knife it will cut the fondant more easily. 3. Making a nicely squared baby block out of a piece of wood is WAY easier than trying to do the same thing with fondant cake. So my admiration goes out to anyone who can accomplish that.

I don’t believe that I’ve made a cake in over 20 years. I just pick them up from the store for birthday parties. Someone put me in charge of a baby shower cake and I discovered fondant and figurines; I fell in love with it. This is my second cake.
